Every year, Carl Schenck AG awards the
Carl Schenck Prize
or students of the Technical University of Darmstadt. The prize is awarded to
students of the faculties of law and economy, mechanical engineering, electrical
engineering, information engineering and informatics.
The award is subject to the following conditions, determined by Carl Schenck AG, represented by its Board of Directors and The Technical University of Darmstadt, represented by its President:
- Starting from the winter semster 2003/2004, the Carl Schenck Prize will be provided in the shape of four scholarships.
- Each scholarship amounts to a sum of EURO 350 per month and will be granted over three semesters. After this time, the students will be given the opportunity to prepare an external thesis (thesis for Diploma or Master thesis) in cooperation with Carl Schenck AG. In this case, the scholarship will be granted for a further semester.
- During the scholarship period, students will be given the opportunity to participate actively in selected practical projects in cooperation with Carl Schenck AG.
- Eligible for the award are students with a Bachelor‘s degree or those who have already passed the intermediate diploma examination (Vordiplom), and who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their respective subject areas. In addition to the grade point average, the personality of the prospective scholarship holders will also be taken into account in the selection process.
