Dr.-Ing. Ralf-Michael Fuchs

Dr.-Ing. Ralf-Michael Fuchs, born 1958, joined the Board of SCHENCK as its Chairman on February 1, 2010.

After studying industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, he worked from 1984 in the field of company consultation at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation (IPA) in Stuttgart. During this time, he also took his doctorate at the University of Stuttgart, receiving the Annual Prize of the Fraunhofer Society for his research work.

From 1990, he worked for the IWKA AG, Karlsruhe, in various management positions, lastly as the Managing Director of a subsidiary company, which built up the Russian business for BMW AG. In 1996, Dr. Fuchs moved to the AGIV AG, Frankfurt, and in 1997 took over the management of the subsidiary company Hottinger Baldwin Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH in Darmstadt.

In December 2000, he joined the management of SCHENCK RoTec GmbH, Darmstadt, and in 2002 took over the chairmanship of the management and the direction of the Balancing and Diagnosis Systems Division of the DÜRR group. Since 2008, he has also been responsible for Dürr Somac GmbH, Stollberg and Dürr Assembly Products GmbH, Püttlingen.

Following his appointment to the SCHENCK Board, Dr. Fuchs will continue to be responsible for the “Balancing and Assembly Products” Division.

Andreas Birk

Assessor jur. Andreas Birk, born in 1958 is Member of the Board of Management of Carl Schenck AG since January 1, 2006.

He studied law at the University of Frankfurt. After graduating with the 2 nd state exam he joined Carl Schenck AG in 1988. Mr Birk worked in several functions within the Schenck Group with main emphasis on law, insurance, patents, real estate management and since 1996 the decentralization of the Schenck Group.

Since 1997 he is head of the corporate function Human Resources and Legal Affairs. In addition he assumed a position in the management of Schenck Technologie- und Industriepark GmbH and responsibility for Public Relations.
