Carl Schenck AG - Management

Ralf W. Dieter

Dipl.-Volkswirt, born in 1961, was appointed Chairman of the Board of Management of Carl Schenck AG on 19 May 2003.
Mr. Dieter studied Civil Engineering at Karlsruhe Technical University, and Economics at the Karlsruhe and Freiburg universities. After graduating in 1989 with a degree in Economics, Mr. Dieter held a number of managerial positions at DAT AG in Ratingen.

In 1995 he became Sales Director for IBM Deutschland GmbH in Stuttgart, and subsequently worked at IBM's European Headquarters in Paris with responsibility for European sales.
In 1999 Mr. Dieter joined Carl Zeiss of Oberkochen as Manager of a corporate division and Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Carl Zeiss Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH.

With effect from 1 January 2005 Ralf W. Dieter was additionally appointed Member of the Board of Management of DÜRR AG. In this capacity, he continues to be responsible for the business unit Measuring Technologies (Schenck), with additional responsibility for the Ecoclean business unit and the DÜRR central functions IT and Research& Development.

Even after his appointment to the Dürr Board, Mr. Dieter will continue as Chairman of the Management Board of Carl Schenck AG.


Andreas Birk

Assessor jur. Andreas Birk, born in 1958 is Member of the Board of Management of Carl Schenck AG since January 1, 2006.

He studied law at the University of Frankfurt. After graduating with the 2 nd state exam he joined Carl Schenck AG in 1988. Mr Birk worked in several functions within the Schenck Group with main emphasis on law, insurance, patents, real estate management and since 1996 the decentralization of the Schenck Group.

Since 1997 he is head of the corporate function Human Resources and Legal Affairs. In addition he assumed a position in the management of Schenck Immobilien & Service GmbH and responsibility for Public Relations.
